Merchandising + Operations Associate Internship - NYC
Job Title: Merchandising + Operations Associate Intern
Location: LABEL NYC, in person
Reports to: Kate Warmels, Director of Production and Alex Rojek, Director of Operations
Compensation: weekly stipend for this educational based internship
The Merchandising & Operations Intern at LABEL will play a key role in supporting our showroom operations, inventory management, and merchandising processes. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual looking to gain hands-on experience at the operational heart of a growing custom clothing brand. You’ll gain exposure to garment processing, visual merchandising, product development, and production workflows while working directly with our leadership team.
Responsibilities
Merchandising Support
- Assist in the organization and upkeep of seasonal fabric collections and swatch books
- Track usage and performance of key fabric mills (e.g., Gladson, Zegna, Loro Piana, Ariston)
- Support updates to internal training and product guides
- Participate in product development discussions and sample coordination
- Help prepare merchandising displays in the showroom
- Assist in updating product guides in our client facing software
Operations & Logistics
- Assist with tracking client orders through our production system
- Support QC checks and inbound inspections of finished garments
- Update internal systems with key garment and delivery info
- Work with our tailoring and logistics partners to monitor timelines and troubleshoot issues
- Prepare showroom and client orders for appointments and delivery

Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Operations, or related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and tracking systems
- A proactive, collaborative attitude with an interest in fashion and entrepreneurship
- Prior retail, showroom, or fashion internship experience a plus
This is an entry level internship and reports to the Director of Operations at and to the Director of Production
